Back to better-than-normal

Our new antenna or, to be more precise, antennae (there are two of them) are now fully installed, calibrated and tested. FM service is back to normal, on 107.3FM and first indications are a significant improvement in coverage, with much more consistent reception in the whole area.

Please feedback your experience of the new coverage. Thanks.

Service disruption continues…

This morning’s FM service disruptions are continuing into the afternoon, as our engineers test out our new antenna. Normal service will be resumed soon. Internet streaming is unaffected.

New Antenna – disruption to service

On the morning of Saturday 19th September, we’re fitting a new antenna to our transmitter, which means the FM service in Dumfries will be disrupted for most of the morning. The internet feed will continue pretty much as normal, with occasional breaks for other maintenance jobs.

Thanks for understanding. This maintenance work should result in better FM reception.
