The earlier problems with our online streaming service, due to a fire in the UK based datacentre used by the service company, have now been resolved by re-routing. Hopefully we’re back to normal, but you may experience occasional difficulties as the engineers implement a permenant solution.

If you’ve been trying to listen to Alive Radio using one of our internet streams, we do apologise but they have been offline since just after 5.30pm today, due to a fire in the datacentre housing the servers, in the south of England.
Engineers are working to re-route the service to another datacentre and we hope to have service restored soon.
Meanwhile, we do hope you’ll keep looking back for more information. We’ll post here when we know more.

We’re upgrading our streaming service this afternoon, which should improve the sound quality you experience and allow many more listeners to connect at the same time.
There may be a short break in service in while this is carried out and you may need ot close your browser and reopen it to regain the new service.
If you’re using iPhone or Andriod to conne, you’ll need to select Shoutcast (we were formerly using an Icecast server). We can help provide you with guidance and support if you get stuck.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

We’re delighted to be upgrading our automation and on-air system to provide you with an even better service.
As a consequence of the improvements, there may be occasional interruptions over the next 24 hours and our presenters are working without some of the normal tools in studio – jingle play-outs etc.
Thanks for understanding.
The engineering team.
