Over the last 25 years Comlongon Castle, Clarencefield has steadily been building up an unparalleled reputation for excellence within the wedding industry and is now regarded as one of the premier wedding venues in the country.

Owned and run by Phillip Ptolomey, Comlongon Castle has organised thousands of weddings and receptions for couples from all over the world.

“We have spent a great deal of time and resources constantly improving the Castle and grounds,” said Phillip, “guests are stunned at what we provide.”

Comlongon Castle rarely comments on their client list, but has had many well known celebrities through their doors.

“Organising successful weddings is about attention to detail. Many of our clients have told us over the years the estate is the perfect location for a music festival, so it’s always been in the back of our minds”

What started as an idea for a party has now progressed to a full live festival. Event coordinator, Alex Roberts, Comlongon Castles Duty Manager has managed to pull together in a few short weeks an amazing list of local talent who will appear at Comlongon Rocks on Sunday 25th September.

“We were stunned by the level of support shown by everyone who has contacted us. We have only been working on this for the last few weeks and are delighted to confirm that Finding Albert and Iron Claw are to appear on the main stage”

So far over 20 bands and DJ’s have been booked. The festival hopes to raise funds for two charities Cash for Kids and Cancer Research UK.

Phillip added “The region desperately needs a venue for local bands to play to a local audience. With a huge increase in PPL fees planned over the next 3 years there will be very few venues for local bands to appear.”

It is hoped that the festival will be a huge success and will be repeated again next year.

Coors have agreed to sponsor the beer marquee whilst catering will be provided by Comlongon award winning chefs and Lazy Joes unique pie bus.

Tickets are £10 each and on sale at various vendors across the region.

Details are available on Facebook Comlongon Rocks and www.comlongonrocks.com.

The event starts at 12.00 and concludes at midnight
