The following statement has been issued by D & G Health Board:

“I, ALEX HASWELL, being the Returning Officer responsible for conducting the Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Election, declare the following candidates elected as elected Members of the Dumfries and Galloway Health Board:-

The number of covering envelopes which did not contain a ballot paper was 17

The number of ballot papers REJECTED and not counted by me at this election was as follows:-

Ballot paper does not bear a unique number in a form of being read by electronic means – 0

The figure “1″ is not placed on the ballot paper in a manner which indicates a first preference for a candidate – 27

The figure “1″ is placed on the ballot paper in that manner in respect of more than one candidate – 303
