Police have now released details of the woman who was killed in a road traffic crash on the A75 just west of Gretna on Monday 5 March 2012 as a 53 year old woman from Turnberry Road, Annan. The 50 year female old passenger in the car at the time remains in a serious condition in the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow. She was taken there by air ambulance after being removed from the car.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened at around 1420 hours on Tuesday 5 March. The car, a dark grey coloured Toyota Auris in which the two women were travelling was going towards Annan at the time it was in collision with a Volvo articulated lorry. The driver of the lorry was unhurt. Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen the crash or indeed the Toyota Auris car just prior to the crash, calls can be made to the usual 0845 600 5701 number.
