| Cameron Murray | Cameron's a radio professional with many years of experience. He has a wide knowledge of music and topical issues - there's always something for everyone. He hails from Clydebank and came to radio in his twenties, realising that was where his passion was. He cites the Hairy Cornflake (Dave Lee Travis) as the ideal example of a radio presenter; "DLT played great music and always had great guests and that means incredible radio". Cameron's personal musica tastes run from Gaelic song to Bluegrass and Gypsy Jazz to Viking Metal. |
Kevin Rennie![]() | Kevin is born and bred Dumfries having lived here most of his life. He is one of the youngest members of the team but doesn’t let this stifle his creativity producing shows for Daytime combining music, riddles and news to keep you entertained through the afternoon. Mark Smith![]() | Mark's the Chairman of Alive Christian Media Ltd. He's Pastor of the River of Life Church, a local independent evangelical Church. He's also chairman of Christian Care for the Homeless, a local charity helping homless and needy people in & around Dumfries. His passion is to make Dumfries a better place & help people find fulfillment in life, through a real, down to earth application of Christianity. He heads up the station and is part of the Drivetime team with interviews, reviews and discussions, as well as great music. |
Sheila Notman![]() | A native Doonhamer, Sheila is an ESOL Tutor with Dumfries & Galloway Council. She has recently celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary and is the mother of a teenager, which might explain a lot! She's involved in Troqueer Church, especially with music. Sheila has recently heard herself being called the Duchess of Drivetime, a name which she secretly likes! Her Thursday show, in partnership with her glamorous assistant, Margaret, is a mix of music and chat and the odd silence when she presses the wrong button. |
| Margaret Moore | Born and brought up in Glasgow, Margaret has lived in Hamilton, Melbourne Australia and Dumfries. Work history, 'jack of all trades, master of none'. Family: two sons, one daughter, three grandsons, four granddaughters and one great grandson. Presently Sheila's glamorous assistant on Thursday Drive-time. |
Tony Charlesworth![]() | The Friday man that's him. Topcat! Some may wonder where he got the name topcat? His name is Tony Charlesworth (although on Sundays its Anthony! Or when his mum speaks to him) the initials are TC, need he say anymore! His Friday show gets all ready for the weekend. He’s a yorkshire man to the heart, although he feels the galloway has accepted him and his family after setting foot in Dumfries some 17yrs ago. And he thanks you all for that. Tune in Fridays from 4pm-6pm for fun frolic and a good yorkshire man's sense of humour. Oh and cracking tunes. |

| George Smith | Mainly Jazz George has been listening to Jazz for ever. Yes he’s getting on a bit: old enough to remember hearing the Count Basie band play in Newcastle in 1959 and being blown away by their performance. Since then he’s become a bit of a “Jazz anorak” according to some who know him well! Most of the items he plays come from his own collection; in fact since starting the show in November 2010 he says he’s found stuff on his shelves he’d forgotten he had! |

Iain Renicks![]() | The Iain Renicks Show A native of Thornhill, Iain works in the family butchery in the village and is at present the World Scotch Pie Champion. He was a mobile DJ for 15 years running his own sucessful company Disco Inferno gigging all over Scotland and Northern England. He's also a part time journalist and photographer having been published in newspapers, magazines and online. The Guv'nor as one of his listners christened him describes his Tuesday evening show as a, "Veritable cornucopia of music", with something for everyone. He admits his first love is the 70s and 80s but loves popping up on the mainstream shows and also his occasional sit in's on the Rock show. |
Dave Macfarlane![]() | Alive Country Dave Macfarlane is best known to listeners as presenter of the Sunday Breakfast Show and indeed for Alive Country, where he shares the mic (and occasionally the biscuit tin) with his Producer Ali. Mad about media from an early age, he first became involved with radio in the 90s (that's the 1990s) and has presented and produced a wide range of programming for various stations south of the border. Dave has also worked successfully as a freelance Musician, and is now delighted to be back on home territory to share his innate passion for music (but perhaps not the biscuit tin). |

Showcasing his wide knowledge of country music he transferred across to Daytime slots early 2012. Using his unique brand of humour and pub quiz random facts Ali tries to fill the airwaves with merriment and mirth whenever he is on. A far cry form his day job with the Scottish Ambulance Service. One thing thats guaranteed whether your music taste is cheesy or tragic Ali will always have something to make you smile. |
Rory Nelson![]() | Radio Nowhere Rory started his Alive career as a “guest” on The Rock Show with Jim and Mike, and then never left! In September 2011 , he was given his own midweek evening slot, Radio Nowhere- playing the best of modern and classic rock, blues, soul, funk tracks, and anything else that catches his ear! With Rory’s laid back presenting style and dubious humour, coupled with some great music, its always guaranteed to be a fun show. Rory has been playing guitar since he was 15 and has played with a few local bands, and has a few “tales of the road” to tell! He has a genuine love for music and enjoys sharing it with the Alive listeners . |
Lee Micheal Medd![]() | Lee Medd Live Dumfries born Lee, is a retail manager, qualified jeweller and all round good looking chap! He has one of the most recognisable faces around town from his time spent working for a number of big names in retail. An avid news-junkie Lee always has his finger on the pulse of what's going on in the news and entertainment world, he's a self confessed pop-nut as well as a huge wrestling and football fan, supporting his beloved Newcastle United on 'Alive & Kicking.' Often opinionated, often comical, always entertaining. |

Paul Lyttle![]() | Criffel Creek Paul Lyttle presents "Criffel Creek" on alternate Sundays between 10am and 12noon. He particularly loves bluegrass and old timey music and get the chance to hear bands playing this great music at the Moniaive Michaelmas Bluegrass Festival every September ... because he’s the Artistic Director of the festival and books the bands! David Baird![]() | Memories Are Made Of This David is a native Doonhamer, born in Cresswell Maternity hospital. He attended St Michael's Junior School until emigrating with his family to South Africa in 1967. He attended St Henry's College in Durban, a sister school to St Joseph's in Dumfries, and then went on to university where he graduated with a B Soc Sci degree. Married in 1988 to Marlene, they then added Sarah to the family in 1992. In 1993 the family returned to Scotland where David continued his career a s a medical sales rep. David is an enthusiastic guitarist and ukulele player. He has a very broad taste in music, as evidenced by the incredibly wide mix of music played on his show, Memories Are Made Of This. |
Gilbert (Gibbie) McGill![]() | Sunday @ Seven Very much the local, Gilbert (Gibbie) McGill is native to the Stewartry and has lived in Dumfries for some 35 years. He's a former college lecturer and benefits specialist. He's a committed Christian who considers Sunday @ Seven to be an ideal form of Christian outreach. Gibbie enjoys what he describes as, "The sometimes frustrating challenge" of broadcasting. He endeavours to write and present personal reflections to his audience combined with popular worship music and traditional hymns. |
Duke Miller![]() | Sunday @ Seven Duke is Associate Pastor of the River of Life Church in Dumfries and hails originally from Florida. He’s married to Morag and they have four children. Duke’s background was in the American music industry and his shows are packed with interesting bits and pieces about Christian music around the world. |
Michael Greaves-Mackintosh![]() | Michael is one of our most enthusiastic conributors – he’d happily spend every waking hour at the studio … and his sleeping ones too! Michael is studying for a CMED (Certificate in New Media Creation) at Dumfries and Galloway College, so his experience in radio presenting is a great enhancement to his coursework. |
