After Youth Beatz announced last week that N-Dubz would be headlining the event on July 31st, young people have been flooding online social networking sites with positive responses to the news.

“I luv u guys 4 getting n-dubz!! I love them soooo much!!!”

“I think you made a good choice for the type of concert it is and who will be there”

“This will be soooo much cooler than last year!”

These are just some examples of the many quotes from young people.

Consultations with 12-25 year olds identified N-Dubz as the number 1 choice of young people and the need for more large scale music events, where they can enjoy live music performances that might otherwise be out of reach.

The free event takes place at Dock Park, Dumfries and aims to create civic pride and a lasting legacy of young people being fully involved in their community. N-Dubz have just announced their performance at the prestigious iTunes festival as well as Glastonbury festival and T4 on the beach, it is widely accepted as a real coup to have secured a band of this stature for Youth Beatz.

The event is managed through a partnership led by Community Learning and Development Nithsdale and is part funded by Nithsdale Area Committee. The event is sponsored by Dumfries and Galloway College, Magnox North Chapelcross and media partner West Sound.
