Queens Manager, Gordon Chisholm Makes Quick Exit to Dundee
Dundee manager, Jocky Scott got sacked yesterday, following a 3-0 defeat by Airdrie, Dundee failed to win any of their last four games, resulting in their lead at the top of the Scottish First Division being cut to just three points.
It’s been announced tonight that Queen of the South manager, Gordon Chisholm has accepted an offer to become manager of Dundee, he has also taken coach Billy Dodds to Dens park with him.
Having taking over as manager at Queens in 2007 when Ian McCall left, Chisholm guided Queens to the Scottish cup final in 2008 and good seasons in the Scottish first division. Queens are still challenging for promotion with other teams including Dundee, and it will now be an even more interesting fight with the manager moving.
Chisholm’s first game in charge for Dundee will be on Tuesday night against, yes you guessed it, Queen of The South. Both teams will be out to impress their new managers and I’m sure Queens players will have an added incentive to get one over their old boss!
Kenny Brannigan who was assistant manager under Chisholm will take over as manager till the end of the season at Queens. We believe and hope Kenny will be able to carry on the good work Gordon was doing for us.
Gordon have done a fantastic job for us the last years and we would like to wish him all the best in the future………well apart from Tuesday that is!! This game will be broadcast live, from Dens Park Stadium, on BBC Alba TV, with coverage starting at 7.40pm.
