Road traffic incident
Two cars were involved in an accident which resulted in one of the cars tumbling on to its roof at the entrance of the roundabout that services Tesco service station at cuckoo bridge in Dumfries.
CPA Contracts workmen working nearby heard the the bangs of the crash Approximately 9.55 am and rushed to the aid of the driver in order to free him from the upturned car; With the aid of other passerby’s they managed to right the car before emergency services were on the scene.
He seems to be the only occupant of the car. The other car is believed to have had 3 occupants 2 males and a female, of which none are reported to have been injured at this time. One of the occupants seemed a bit unsure saying there was a bang.
Police are not releasing any names or detail until investigation has been carried out except to say if anyone witnessed the accident that are to contact police as soon as possible.
