Blast from the Past

Hosted by:

Bill was born in Dumfries and worked for Dalgety in the town latterly as a Sales Manager but is now retired.   Bill  previously played guitar in a local band playing mainly country music in clubs in the north of England, then took up keyboard some 20 years ago. He still plays as a duo with one of his original band mates but on a “hobby” basis.  His  favourite band are The Eagles.

Bill enjoys most music styles but particularly from the 60s and 70s and it is this period which has been the inspiration for his show “Blast from the Past”.

    1. Thanks pal for keeping alive the ” Golden Era” of popular music. Alive Radio’s answer to Tony Blackburn?

    2. Great show Bill and thanks for dedication. Tech. great when it works. Lady W and I on coach on way to Butchart Gdns in Victoria, one earphone each. Came through perfectly on free bus wifi.

    3. Great wee show Bill. Have just listened on catch up. Enjoyed trying to name the artists before you. You had me fooled with Ched Atkins, was sure it was Hank Marvin – who copied who?
Catch up cut off before end. Tried to post this comment on the site but wouldn’t let me? Will maybe try again.

    4. Great wee show Bill. Listened on catch up whilst chilling after a busy week of work. Enjoyed trying to name the artists before you did. Completely wrong about Ched Atkins- would’ve put money on it being Hank Marvin. Catch up cut off before the end of show unfortunately – probably an Eagles track knowing you?
