  1. Hi Mhairi

Thanks very much for getting in touch with us. It’s really great to hear from you and I’d love to follow up on your email. Paul mentioned to me that he’d met you when I saw him on Sunday.

As I don’t have any contact details for you the easiest way to proceed is perhaps to send me a direct email – [email protected]. We can then discuss things further and organise a meeting and studio visit.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi there Dave. I got your name from Paul Lyttle after meeting him at a Jobs Fair in Glasgow.

I was telling him about my love for radio and especially country music which is my favourite type of music.

I have been volunteering for over 20 years in radio and I won a Millennium Award for the BBC and
received Radio Journalism training where I produced my own radio feature entitled “The Great
Escape” about the activities in Glasgow libraries. I interviewed the authors Christopher Brookmyre
and Anne Donovan. My feature was showcased at BAFTA in London with a promise of lots of radio
contacts for work but there was no-one from radio there.

I would love to arrange a meeting with you to tell you about all my radio experiences. I record for Cue
and Review at the moment – reading out articles from the Evening Times and Herald which is then
processed into podcasts and sent to blind people.

I enjoy helping out doing admin at radio stations as well. I have answered phones for Real Radio
“Bring a Pound To Work Day” etc.

I read out 200 words about Glasgow the other week on Jeremy Vine Radio 2 show. It was great fun!

I am from Glasgow. How do I get to your radio station by public transport?

I hope to hear from you soon and will listen out for your country show – looking forward to it! I would love to get young people interested in country music. I like the fact that Paul Gambaccini plays the country number 1 on his show on Radio 2 Saturday night.

    Kind Regards

    Take care
