Here’s a chance to listen again to this afternoon’s Alive at Five feature, with Mark Smith and Graham Anderson, joined live in the studio by Alison Lindsay from Kirkbean Primary School Parent Council and John Magill representing parents at Ae Village Primary School. The discussion was over current consultation on proposals by Dumfries & Galloway Council to close three rural schools, including Ae and Kirkbean. Local politicians; Alister Jack MP, Joan McAlpine MSP and Finlay Carson MSP joined in the debate, plus a written statement from the Council.
